Are You Prepared?
Self-defense is a set of awareness, assertiveness, verbal skills, safety strategies and simple physical techniques that enable someone to successfully analyze, escape, resist, and survive physical assault. During this class you’ll learn the 3 P’s of Self-Defense: Prevention, Preparation, and Physical Reaction.
The class will include lecture, discussion, and easy to remember self-defense techniques that will better enable attendees to prepare an effective response ahead of time in much the same way you would prepare for a fire drill. The key to prevention is situational awareness and developing good habits to support this. Using awareness of surroundings and knowing your own physical strengths and limitations will help you develop strategies to respond appropriately should the need ever arise.
