Little Dragons: 6 Years and Under
This exciting new class for children 6 & under utilizes:
- Brain Gym activities & exercises
- Color coordinated movement patterns
- Balance, rhythms & core body exercises
To help your child develop better…
…for physical and mental readiness for learning – both in school and in physical activities.
This is a Parent/Child class that requires the participation of a parent or older sibling. Our Little Dragons meet twice weekly for 30-minutes.
Dragons: 6-8 Year Olds
Our beginning Dragons meet twice weekly for 30-minutes. These six to eight year olds learn and develop fundamental martial arts skills such as kata (forms) and bunkai (two-person drills). Children focus on a variety of safety skills in this class as well as the life skills. Fire safety, stranger danger and water safety as well as memorizing important personal information such as phone number, address and the all-important 911. Children love the variety of listening games we use to develop skill while parents seem to appreciate the safety and life skills the most!
Youth: 9-12 Year Olds
The Youth program offers not only an effective self-defense program, but a means for character development and discipline. Children learn to concentrate and focus their energy constructively, which results in better school work and grades.
In addition, a strong emphasis is placed on the development of self-esteem. We believe that if a child’s self- esteem is strong, he or she is more likely to become a happy, secure and productive adult.
